Area Manager Bio - Freddie Hiard
I qualified in Physiotherapy from the University of Birmingham in 2013, after working a season in professional football I joined Ascenti as a band A Physiotherapist. I worked up through the development pathway to Band C3 clinical mentor before becoming the West Midlands Area Manager in November 2021.
What I love about being an Area Manager is being able to help make improvements to the working days all the physiotherapists in my region and to make the West Midlands an enjoyable environment to work in.
I am based in the Stourbridge area and will meet regularly with each individual on a fortnightly basis and we have group meetings monthly.
In the West Midlands we have a great variety of referrals ranging from NHS referrals in the Kidderminster and Redditch/Bromsgrove region, to Medical Legal, Occupational Health, PMI and Self-funded spread throughout.
The West Midlands Ascenti team covers Birmingham, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. We typically operate from around 23 clinics with multiple sites in and around Birmingham. Many of our clinics are based in GP surgeries, local offices, Gyms and healthcare centres. When we meet as a group it is at our central Edgbaston flagship clinic.
Anything else that makes your area special?
As a region we all like to meet up for social events and have done laser tag, batting cages and mini golf to name a few.
