Finding our Rochford centre
Our assessment centre is based inside Rochford Library at 8 Roche Close, just off North Street. North Street is one-way only and can be accessed via South Street by Rochford District Council.
It's conveniently located with bus stops on North Street near to the library and Rochford train station a fifteen-minute walk away.
The library does not open until 9am and patients will not be allowed in before this time.
If the library is open, please use the main door when you arrive and take a seat in the waiting area. If your appointment is on a Wednesday when the library is closed, please use the side door. When you arrive please report to the waiting area/reception desk and you will be seen when the previous assessment has finished.
Please remember to bring proof of ID to your appointment.
Accepted Forms of ID:
• Passport: A UK or foreign passport
• Driving Licence: A UK driving licence (full or provisional) with a photograph
• Biometric Residence Permit (BRP): For non-UK nationals
• Birth Certificate
• Marriage/Divorce Certificate or Civil Partnership/Dissolution Certificate
Note: Bus passes are not acceptable for verification
Parking and other info
There is no parking at the library so if you are driving to your assessment, please give yourself plenty of time to find parking to ensure you arrive on time. There are two public car parks nearby which are Old Ship Lane car park (SS4 1DD) and Rochford car park (SS4 1FR).
There is disabled access into the building and assessment room and disabled toilets are available. No disabled parking is available at the library, the nearest disabled parking is in the Old Ship Lane car park which is a few hundred yards away.
