In summer 2024, we partnered with a video production agency, Pulse Studio, and spent two days recording a recruitment video. The filming took place in two locations: our new Leamington Spa clinic and at the home of Senior MSK Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy Development Lead, Mariana, in Coventry.
The video’s primary goal was to showcase a realistic portrayal of what it’s like to work as a Senior MSK Physiotherapist at Ascenti. We focused on highlighting key themes such as hybrid working, career development, work-life balance, and clinical autonomy - all of which our physios have expressed as aspects they truly value about being part of the company.
The narrative was built around the experiences of two senior physios, Michael and Mariana, who shared their journeys, daily routines, and why they like working at Ascenti.
On Day 1, we focused on Michael at the Leamington Spa clinic. The day began with setting up the interview, where Michael shared insights about his role as a Senior MSK Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy Development Lead.
We captured his day-to-day interactions, providing a glimpse into his varied caseload and the autonomy he enjoys in his role, in addition to how he manages to play semi-professional football outside of his time in clinic.
Day 2 brought us to Coventry, where we filmed with Mariana. Mariana’s interview highlighted the hybrid working model and her dual role as a Senior MSK Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy Development Lead. We followed her through a typical day, capturing her work at the clinic and her home office, focusing on the flexibility and support Ascenti provides.
Balancing the tight schedule with the need to capture authentic, unscripted moments was initially challenging. However, this challenge turned into one of our greatest strengths.
The genuine enthusiasm and passion that both Michael and Mariana demonstrated made the filming process fluid and natural. Their engagement provided Pulse Studio with a wealth of dynamic footage, giving us ample material to work with during post-production. This authenticity allowed us to create a series of content that truly reflects the vibrant and supportive work culture at Ascenti.
The project resulted in a short hero video, two individual role videos, and several short clips for social media.
This recruitment video production was a collaborative effort that successfully conveyed the message that Ascenti is not just a place to work, but a place to grow, innovate, and make a real impact in the field of physiotherapy.
