The HealthInvestor Awards are held annually with the aim of promoting excellence and recognising innovation in the independent health and social care sector. They celebrate people and organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to healthcare over the last year.
Being shortlisted for these awards is recognition of the way Ascenti handled the coronavirus pandemic, and of the leading role we have played in the acceptance of digital health solutions within physiotherapy.
Having developed market leading digital health products and a pioneering end-to-end digital MSK (musculoskeletal) pathway between 2018-2019, Ascenti was in a strong position to manage the challenges posed by the pandemic. In March 2020, when the first UK lockdown was announced and our 300 clinics were closed, Ascenti pivoted our entire service delivery to an online model overnight.
Throughout the lockdown our patients could continue to receive the treatment and support they needed, with appointments held virtually through the award-winning Ascenti Physio app. In 2020 Ascenti delivered over 140,000 appointments online, totalling more than three million minutes of virtual consultations.

While last year’s awards ceremony was held virtually due to COVID-19, this year HealthInvestor are planning a gala dinner for finalists and other industry professionals to attend in-person. The ceremony will take place on Monday 13 September at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
