COVER Magazine are a leading industry publication within the health insurance and life protection sectors, and this year they launched their first ever healthcare awards. The Recognising Healthcare Innovation Awards celebrate excellence within the health insurance industry, acknowledging new propositions and services, individual achievements and innovative approaches within healthcare.
In December 2019, Vitality launched a partnership with Ascenti that gives their members access to Ascenti’s national network of 300 clinics and physiotherapists, and our industry leading virtual physiotherapy service. In March 2020 a digital referral route was introduced allowing Vitality members to quickly access the service through their Care Hub. After completing a short digital triage, members are directed to either book a physio assessment, access self-management advice or seek urgent care. Assessments can be booked online straight away with same-day appointments usually available.
Despite this relationship being established shortly before the pandemic, Ascenti’s successful response ensured service delivery was maintained throughout and this service continues to achieve strong patient outcomes. Our digital service provided a lifeline to Vitality members who were in pain but unable to attend in-person appointments during the lockdown, and meant they were still able to access high-quality care.
This nomination follows on from Ascenti winning New Supplier of the Year at the Vitality Supplier & Partner Awards earlier this year, and performing highly in a 360-degree supplier feedback survey.
